We are proud that our Estyn inspection report of 2018 states that the teaching at Islwyn High School is good.
However, we are constantly striving to further improve on this. All our INSET days are dedicated to learning and teaching. We have also created a learning and teaching forum consisting of a group of teachers that are continually working on new ideas for teaching and sharing good practice across the whole staff.
Our aim is to ensure that all lessons taught are engaging and challenging, in an environment of high expectation that helps to maximise pupil progress.
