  • Close-the-Gap marking (including “What Went Well” and “Even Better If”)
  • Direct Improvement and Reflection Time
  • Literacy, Numeracy and DCF skills within lesson context
  • “No hands-up” questioning and challenge
  • ETLF focus area: Behaviour for Learning and Wellbeing

 

In every lesson we expect the following:

Every pupil has the right to high quality and inspirational education, ensuring each are:

  • ambitious, capable learners
  • enterprising, creative contributors ready to play a full part in life and work
  • ethical, informed citizens of Wales and the world
  • healthy, confident individuals ready to lead fulfilling lives as valued members of society

Green Pen Marking

Green Pen Marking is when pupils take responsibility for improving their own work, alongside the teacher. Each pupil will be given time to reflect upon a teacher’s feedback and then improve aspects of their work using a green pen.
