Literacy, numeracy and digital competence skills are important for accessing the wider curriculum because they are used in everything.

Our Estyn Report of 2018 states "Overall, pupils make sound progress in developing their literacy, numeracy and ICT skills."

Our pupils' literacy and numeracy skills are tested in the Summer Term. Everyone in Years 7 to 9 sit tests in literacy (reading), numeracy (procedural) and numeracy (reasoning). Click on the links below for further information.
